CORPORATE CHALLENGE 2019
TO: Potential challengers
As has been the case for the past 18 years, Avenue Bowling Club’s Corporate Challenge will be the club’s first major event for the 2019 calendar year.
For those who are not familiar with this annual event, Corporate Challenge was started at Avenue Bowling Club 18 years ago by club member John Glen, and is based on John’s memory of the event he had seen conducted in another country town.
The aim has always been for local traders, tradespeople, professionals, teachers etc. to get together, giving them all the opportunity for fostering relationships while enjoying a game of bowls.

The club is now accepting applications to participate in the 2019 Corporate Challenge.
This year’s Challenge will be held over 6 weeks on each Tuesday evening starting from 29th. January and finishing on 5th March. The games will commence at 6.15 pm.
Information for the 2019 Challenge:
• Teams each week will consist of 4 players. Each team is permitted to include 1 experienced bowler who is required to play as the “second”. It may be possible to find an Avenue club member for your team if required.
• Entry fee per team is $40 each week (including raffle). Score cards (showing rink no.) will be provided upon payment of the entry fee each week.
• Each week of Corporate Challenge, take away food (pies, pasties, sausage rolls, and dim sims) will be available for purchase from 5.30pm until 9.30pm.
As the event is limited to 26 teams, please advise ASAP your intention to enter a team for 2019 (entries will be accepted in order of receipt).
